Help

Everything you can do, and how. The tool windows each have their own page under Tools.

Finding an emoji

  • Type a word. Names, slang ("sus", "lol", "bestie"), keywords and typos all work.
  • Paste an emoji to look it up. Type U+1F600 or :tada: if you have a code.
  • Click a category chip to jump to that section.

Copying

  • Click an emoji: it's on your clipboard.
  • Shift+click or the + hover button adds it to the tray. Chain several, then Copy all.
  • Drag tray items to reorder. Click one to remove it.

Hover tools

  • + add to tray · ♡ favorite · ✦ skin tone and gender variants · i details, codepoints and copy-as-code.
  • The bar works in the grid and in the Favorites & Recent window.
  • On touch screens, long-press an emoji instead.

Keyboard

  • / focus search · Esc clear
  • ↑ ↓ ← → move · Enter copy · Shift+Enter tray
  • f favorite · v variants · i details

Styles, tones and size

  • Style switches the artwork between your device's emoji, Twemoji, Noto, Fluent and OpenMoji. Sets that lack an emoji fall back to your device's version.
  • Tone sets a default skin tone for every emoji that supports one.
  • Typographs in the Style row narrows the grid to the ~200 symbols that existed in print before emoji (❤ ✉ ⚠ ▶ ✏) and shows each in its black-and-white form, which is what gets copied. Everything born as an emoji has no printed form, so it is hidden while this style is on. Switch back to any other style to see the full set.
  • The Size slider scales the grid. Double-click it to reset.

Tools, color schemes & the focus timer

  • The Text Tools menu (top left) opens: an Inspector that names every character in whatever you paste (and flags invisible ones, with a one-click clean copy) and a Counter with live limits for X, Bluesky, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, YouTube and SMS, Line Breaks, which turns text pasted from Notepad into a version that keeps its spacing wherever you paste it, and a Lorem Ipsum generator for filler text by the paragraph, word, list item or exact byte.
  • Scrub PII (in the Text Tools menu) redacts emails, phone numbers, card and ID numbers, addresses, IPs, API keys and more from anything you paste. It opens on its own sealed page: no analytics, and your browser blocks the page from sending anything anywhere. A pop-up shows your browser testing that seal when you arrive. Tick what to redact, pick labels or masking, click any item in the log to put it back.
  • Every emoji's details panel (hover → i) and every emoji page can download the emoji as PNG or SVG at 64 to 1024 px, in any art style.
  • Converters (under the Math Tools menu): length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, time, data, energy, pressure, angle, fuel economy, CSS units, cooking measures and number bases. Pick a category, type a value, and a table shows the value in every unit.
  • The Color Tools menu opens: a gradient maker with CSS output, a five-color palette tester with contrast readouts, and a contrast checker with WCAG badges plus complement, triad, analogous, tint and shade harmonies. Click any swatch or hex label to copy it.
  • The Math Tools menu opens: builders for fractions (⅜, ¹²⁄₃₄₅), roots (∛x, ⁵√x̅), exponents and subscripts (xᵢ², H₂O), a raise-or-lower box for any text, the whole Greek alphabet, and math symbols grouped by arithmetic, comparison, sets, logic, calculus, geometry, fractions and brackets.
  • The 🔔 button (or Start → What's new) lists what changed and when, newest first. A dot on the bell means there is something you haven't read; your browser remembers the date, and nothing about it is sent anywhere.
  • The 🌈 button (or Start → Color scheme) picks one of eleven Windows 95 color schemes, including Midnight for dark rooms. The BG swatch left of the Size slider recolors the grids; the Text swatch next to it recolors kaomoji, symbols and fancy text.
  • The Favorites & Recent window on the right also holds the tray. Click any favorite or recent item to copy it again, Shift+click to add it to the tray, and hover a favorite for the × that removes it.
  • Minimizing the window, clicking the taskbar clock, or Focus Timer at the top left opens the focus timer: 5 to 60 minute presets or any custom length. It rings when it's done and only runs while the page is open.

Why does an emoji show as a box?

Your phone or computer hasn't updated its emoji font to the latest Unicode release yet. The emoji is real and copies fine; the person you send it to may see it even if you can't. Switch the style to Twemoji or Noto to see the artwork anyway. See what's new.
