Text Tools

Two small tools for when text misbehaves: a counter that knows each platform's rules, and an inspector that names every character you paste.

๐Ÿ”ข Character Counter

Type or paste a post and watch the count for every platform at once: characters, words, bytes, and how many you have left before each limit. Rows turn amber near the limit and red over it.

โ†ต Line Breaks

Paste text that has line breaks and get a version that survives where you are pasting it: an HTML copy for boxes that do bold and italics and would otherwise run everything together, blank lines filled with an invisible character for sites that delete them, everything folded onto one line for fields that refuse breaks, <br> tags for a web page, or \n for code.

โ˜ฐ Lorem Ipsum

Placeholder text by the paragraph, sentence, word, list item or exact byte count, as plain text, <p> tags or Markdown bullets โ€” or paste your own words and let it shuffle those instead of Latin.

๐Ÿ” Unicode Inspector

Paste a username, an emoji sequence or a string that looks wrong and get a table of every character: code point, name, block, and whether it is invisible, combining or right-to-left. Copy the code points, or copy the string with all invisibles removed.
